Wave mailings are often used when making high dollar or complicated sales.
This client markets patio covers through an independent dealer network. When opening new distribution centers they needed to be sure dealers knew they were in the market. One of the outdoor lifestyles associated with patios is barbequing and grilling making it a natural theme.
First effort was a tube with a letter, informing of the new location and how that would spice up the market. A bottle of dry rub from the world famous Rendezvous restaurant, in Memphis, was included to add the intrigue of sound. Next two oversized post cards were sent reinforcing the “we are coming” message, followed by another three-dimensional piece, which included, a Patio Daddy’O cookbook, and a series of recipe cards that explained the clients recipe for success.
The final piece invited them to an open house barbeque, which achieved on average a 25% attendance rate.
